A song like "I Found," the first track in this debut session by Nottingham-based Amber Run is one that leads to hyperbole. It leads you to believe in so much. It's one of those songs that you listen to over and over so you can quickly soak in the lyrics so that you can sing along with it as soon as possible. It's one of those songs that takes you over the moon in just a few minutes. Like you would with your own child, you begin to project hopes and dreams for this song. You see those kissable cheeks and hear those heart-melting giggles and wonder how anyone and everyone else couldn't feel the same way you do about it. It's a spectacular introduction to a band with great potential. All three of the songs they performed for this session fulfill that promise. They are cowed with insinuations to great spiritual illusion and to so much of the ether that's out of our power. It's love as fire and magic. It comes to us the way a phantom would -- creeping and still in the plain of day so we can see that it's real.
