This is the first set on the fourth and final night of this run. While not as consistently intense as the previous night, they again stray from the usual song transitions.

Following the introduction, "One of the fathers of the whole scene, the Grateful Dead," they kick it off with "Dancin' in the Streets." While the vocal harmonies are laughable, instrumentally they're in fine form and they waste no time launching into a hot jam before ending the song and transitioning into "He Was a Friend of Mine."

With two covers down, they continue with an original, "China Cat Sunflower," still in its live development phase. Out of this, they continue right into the side one centerpiece of the Anthem of the Sun album, "New Potato Caboose." This is an excellent version, with Phil Lesh leading the way and inspiring the band to travel to several intriguing places. This would be the Grateful Dead's last and final performance of the song. Bob Weir takes over on John Phillips' "Me And My Uncle" to close set one.
