Though his recording career was beginning to wane, country star Razzy Bailey still had a strong fan base when this show was captured in Nashville, Tennessee in March of 1983. Bailey, who had worked on and off in the music business between 1956 and 1976, finally landed a deal with RCA, and went on to become Billboard's Country Singles Artist of the Year in 1980.

Between 1976 and 1981 he scored five Top Five country hits - including "Midnight Hauler," his ode to hardworking truck drivers. This show features most of his biggest songs, such as "We Had Our Moments" and "Lovin' Up A Storm," and includes tunes from his 1982 hit rockabilly album, Feelin' Alright, a release that included "She Left Love All Over Me," a re-make of the Willie Nelson classic, "Night Life" and the ever-popular "Blaze of Glory," which he uses to close the nearly hour-long set.

Bailey's career declined considerably after this tour, and he never again reached the same chart success as he had prior to 1982. Still, Bailey remained a solid concert draw, and in the late 1980s even started his own label, Sounds of America Records. Though he was one of the more successful independent country acts in the business, his inability to break out on radio stunted the sales of his albums after 1985. In 1993, he made what was regarded as a comeback album entitled, Razzy Bailey: Fragile, Handle with Care. Just as the record was beginning to gain momentum with press and radio, Bailey had to cancel his tour and return home urgently after his wife's tragic death.
