Liner Notes

From the beginning to the end of a Tycho song, you feel invigorated. It's like someone's waved smelling salts under your nostrils or you've just come out of a shower where all of the cleaning products that you used on your body were filled with burning peppermint products. Your eyes burst open. Your skin feels alive with that icy hot sensation. You feel like you're either on your third cup of coffee, or you're tipping back the fourth beer, depending on the time of the day. It could just be that you couldn't care less about the time of the day and you're going about both directions abnormally, defying social standards.Tycho songs are beams of LIFE, or the representation of it, the power of it, in humongous, Hollywood Hills letters, alight and glowing so that anyone can see them, even from afar, at any hour of the day. They are dynamic and sensational. They are stunning, scenic displays of the tender marrow that we sometimes forget exists in the middle of every minute we're out here breathing and hustling. We get ourselves lost in the dust, in the scramble and the tease, but it's there if we can just stop to recognize it. This is what comes out of a Tycho song. It's a hang-glide through the soft yellow light that we find pinned to the ceiling. It's the stuff that's up there a good ways - that golden glow that we're not sure we'll ever be able to get to.
