One of the most special parts about the UK trio Wall is that all of its songs are as sweet and tender as its single, "Magazine," but you still can't help coming back to it over and over. It's just the one that's the prettiest girl in the room and you can't help but be fixated on it. Your eyes and ears won't leave it. It's one of those songs that takes everyone to a different place and it's a place that everyone longs to return to. Getting to that place is somewhat out of necessity, as it feels here that there's some avoidance happening, that something's being abandoned, run away from, but there's a spectacular end in sight. It's going to be a place that's just short of heavenly, a place that we thought didn't exist any longer, but now, it's nudging us and feeling as if it were still right there where we left it and nothing's changed. All of the roads are the same and we should know exactly how to get back there. It's that place that loved us right back, the first time we were there. It's the only place where we've actually been able to relax and have an honest vacation - away from all of the cluster, clutter and daily carnage of life. There's a wish in these beautiful breezes of songs for a place where you could just be frozen and not have to ever leave. They aren't afraid of the lonesomeness of these places, but rather embrace this idea that there's a place where the distractions are minimal, our senses will be treated to wondrous solitude and we'll feel as refreshed as we've ever felt. The sun and the moon will allow us to bask in this place that seems largely a figment of our imagination, a place that is a collection of all known paradises and it can be had in a snap - somehow, some way. Wall appears to know the way to the idyllic.
