Houston welcomed in 1994 with the sounds of Texas-born vocalist and comedian Jamie Foxx, rock guitarist Chris Thomas and Ruben Paul. Foxx performed at several New Year's shows later in the '90s, and Thomas was on board again for the 1997 appearance.
